About the Role
Human Edge Limited, a leading HR consulting firm in Nigeria, is currently recruiting an experienced and dependable Heavy Duty Truck Driver on behalf of our esteemed client. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining environmental sanitation by ensuring the safe and efficient pick-up and removal of waste within designated local routes. We are looking for a dedicated professional who values safety, reliability, and operational excellence to join our dynamic team in Lagos.
Key Responsibilities- Operate heavy-duty trucks (10ft, 20ft, or 30ft) safely and efficiently for waste collection and disposal operations.
- Ensure timely arrival at designated disposal sites while adhering to strict schedules.
- Conduct routine pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, performing basic maintenance and reporting mechanical issues promptly.
- Maintain absolute security of the assigned truck, equipment, and associated assets under your care.
- Comply with all traffic laws, environmental regulations, and company safety standards at all times.
- Supervise and manage waste disposal operations on-site while demonstrating strong professional conduct.
- Minimum of 4 to 5 years of proven professional driving experience operating 10ft, 20ft, or 30ft trucks; prior experience in waste disposal operations is a distinct advantage.
- Must possess a valid Class C or Class E Driver’s License alongside a current Lagos State Driving Permit.
- Extensive knowledge of Lagos road networks, particularly the Lagos-Epe Expressway and the Ibeju-Lekki axis.
- A clean driving record with zero major accidents and the ability to pass a mandatory drug and alcohol test.
- Demonstrated honesty, reliability, and the capacity to execute duties with minimal supervision.
- Must currently reside within the Ibeju-Lekki corridor for proximity and promptness.
