Key Responsibilities
  • Assist doctors, nurses, and other medical professionals in providing direct patient care and daily living activities.
  • Monitor and record vital signs including temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and respiration rates.
  • Ensure patient rooms and clinical areas are clean, safe, and fully stocked with necessary medical supplies.
  • Transport patients securely between departments for specialized examinations, treatments, or surgeries.
  • Offer compassionate emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families during their hospital stay.
  • Accurately document patient care activities and report any sudden changes in patient conditions to the nursing staff immediately.
Qualifications
  • Possess a relevant healthcare assistant certification, nursing auxiliary training, or a related qualification from a recognized institution.
  • Demonstrated clinical experience working within a busy hospital, clinic, or specialized medical care center.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and empathy skills when interacting with patients and colleagues.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid license or professional registration where applicable by Nigerian health regulations.
