About the Role
Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex (OAUTHC), a premier federal tertiary health institution in Nigeria, is seeking a dedicated and qualified professional to join our dynamic healthcare team as a Health Information Management Officer II. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining accurate patient records, ensuring data integrity, and supporting the delivery of exceptional healthcare services in line with national standards.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and maintain accurate, confidential patient health records and medical data in accordance with hospital policies.
- Ensure proper coding, indexing, and filing of clinical information for easy retrieval and analysis.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to improve data collection processes and reporting accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and healthcare data privacy standards set by relevant boards.
- Generate periodic statistical reports to support hospital management and clinical research.
- A good degree in Health Information Management from a recognized institution.
- Must be registrable with the Health Records Officers Registration Board of Nigeria (HRORBN).
- Possession of a current practicing license.
- Evidence of completion or exemption from the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) scheme.
