About the Role
Homa Clinic & Maternity Home, a leading healthcare institution in Ota, Ogun State since the 1990s, is recruiting a dedicated Health Assistant to join our clinical team. Key Responsibilities- Provide direct basic clinical care and monitor vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse under qualified supervision
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments as directed by healthcare practitioners
- Assist doctors and nurses during clinical procedures, examinations, and minor surgical operations
- Deliver compassionate maternal and child care services, including prenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal monitoring
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and clinical documentation
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols, hygiene standards, and patient safety practices
- Respond promptly to clinical emergencies and provide basic triage support
- Certificate or National Diploma (ND) in Community Health or Health Technology (CHEW/JCHEW or Health Assistant Certificate)
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on clinical experience in a hospital or clinic setting
- Proven expertise in vital sign monitoring, patient hygiene, and assisting medical staff during procedures
- Basic First Aid and CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (strongly preferred)
- Theatre experience is advantageous
- Must reside within or near Ota, Ogun State (Iyana Iyesi, Iganmode, Idi-Iroko, Sango axis preferred)
- Competitive monthly salary: ₦53,000 – ₦58,000
