About the Role
Golden Oil Industries Limited is a trusted household name in Nigeria's edible oil industry, dedicated to providing healthy cooking oils and quality agricultural by-products since 1988. We are currently looking for a dynamic and results-driven Head Technical Service to join our expanding team in Owo, Ondo State. In this pivotal role, you will provide expert technical leadership and specialist agronomic support to drive sustainable yield improvement, crop forecasting, GIS mapping, and operational excellence across our plantation operations.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical leadership and specialist agronomic support for all plantation operations.
- Manage agronomic information systems, crop forecasting, and GIS mapping.
- Conduct regular field audits, soil sampling, and leaf sampling programs.
- Formulate accurate fertilizer recommendations and oversee pest and disease monitoring.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to drive performance analysis and sustainable yield improvement.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety, sustainability, and quality standards across all operations.
- Bachelor Degree or HND in Agriculture, Agronomy, Soil Science, Crop Protection, Plantation Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 7 to 10 years of relevant post-qualification experience in plantation operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong working knowledge of oil palm cultivation practices, agronomy, and crop management.
- Proficiency in nursery management, field establishment, maintenance practices, and yield enhancement techniques.
- Comprehensive understanding of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and modern fertilizer management.
- Excellent analytical, reporting, communication, and team leadership skills.
