About the Role
Az-Zahrawain Integrated Academy, a reputable Islamic integrated school located in Katsina, Nigeria, is seeking a visionary and dedicated Head Teacher. Guided by our inspiring motto, "Two Lights — One Path to Excellence," we successfully blend standard academic subjects with comprehensive Islamic and Arabic education. We are looking for an educational leader who is passionate about holistic child development, academic rigor, and moral upbringing in an Islamic environment. As Head Teacher, you will oversee day-to-day school operations, mentor teaching staff, and ensure the seamless integration of both Western and Islamic curricula.
Key Responsibilities- Provide visionary leadership in executing the school's integrated curriculum of Western and Islamic education.
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate teaching and non-teaching staff to maintain high standards of instruction and discipline.
- Manage daily school administration, student admissions, attendance, and academic record-keeping.
- Foster a positive, safe, and Islamic-oriented learning environment that encourages moral conduct and academic achievement.
- Engage regularly with parents, guardians, and the community to build strong partnerships supporting student success.
- Organize continuous professional development workshops and training sessions for staff members.
- Ensure compliance with relevant educational standards and the core operational values of Az-Zahrawain Integrated Academy.
- Must be a practicing Muslim demonstrating exemplary Islamic character, moral conduct, and values.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education (B.Ed) or related academic qualifications from a recognized institution.
- Proven work experience as a Head Teacher, Assistant Head Teacher, or senior educational leadership role.
- Deep passion for integrated Islamic and standard academic education.
