About the Role
iRecruiters Africa is hiring a visionary Head, Structured Trade and Commodity Finance to drive our division's strategy, originate complex transactions, and expand our market presence across Nigeria and the wider African region.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute the comprehensive strategy for the STCF Division, identifying high-value market opportunities and revenue streams.
- Originate and structure bespoke commodity finance solutions including pre-export finance, borrowing base facilities, and warehouse receipt financing.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a multidisciplinary team of structurers, analysts, and legal experts while fostering a high-performance culture.
- Design robust risk management frameworks in alignment with Nigerian regulatory bodies and global standards.
- Manage the division's P&L, budget, and resource allocation to deliver sustainable financial growth and strong returns.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with institutional investors, commercial banks, and Development Finance Institutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field; MBA, CFA, or advanced degree strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in corporate or investment banking, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within STCF.
- Extensive knowledge of the West African commodity landscape, regulatory frameworks, and cross-border trade.
- Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth, managing P&L, and leading high-performing teams in emerging markets.
