About the Role
Sujimoto Construction Limited, Nigeria's foremost luxury real estate development company, is seeking a dynamic and analytical Finance Manager to lead our finance operations. In this strategic role, you will oversee financial health, drive business performance, and manage a talented finance team to support our rapid growth.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and manage annual budgets, financial forecasts, and long-term strategic plans.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the finance and accounting team to achieve departmental goals.
- Prepare, review, and present comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Conduct detailed variance analysis and provide actionable financial insights to senior leadership.
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Monitor cash flow, manage liquidity, and ensure optimal working capital levels.
- Ensure strict compliance with statutory requirements, Nigerian tax laws, and internal financial policies.
- Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring timely resolution of audit findings.
- Implement robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.
- Drive digital transformation and automation initiatives within the finance department.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field (Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, or CFA is strongly preferred).
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, preferably within real estate, construction, or corporate finance.
- Demonstrated experience in team leadership and people management.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, financial planning software, and ERP systems.
- Extensive expertise in financial reporting standards, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
- Exceptional analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
