About the Role
Mecer Consulting Limited, a premier human capital management and general management consultancy firm in Abuja, is seeking a strategic and results-driven Head Senior Engineer to lead our engineering operations. In this executive leadership role, you will provide overall direction to the engineering department, driving project excellence, team performance, and strategic growth.
Key Responsibilities- Provide overall leadership, direction, and supervision for the Engineering Department, mentoring and motivating multidisciplinary teams.
- Oversee engineering projects from planning and design through to successful execution and completion within timelines and budgets.
- Review and ensure the quality, accuracy, and compliance of engineering designs, plans, and technical documentation.
- Develop and implement engineering strategies, processes, and performance objectives aligned with overall business goals.
- Manage departmental resources, budgets, manpower, and equipment effectively while mitigating engineering risks.
- Ensure strict compliance with relevant engineering standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
- Maintain effective relationships with clients, contractors, consultants, and regulatory bodies.
- Prepare and present comprehensive project updates and performance reports to senior management.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Mandatory COREN Certification and active registration.
- Minimum of 12-15 years of relevant engineering experience, with proven success in a senior management or departmental leadership role.
- Must not be more than 47 years of age.
