About the Role
The Murtala Muhammed Foundation (MMF), a prominent non-profit organization dedicated to democracy, policy advocacy, education, and human rights in Nigeria, is seeking a strategic and results-driven Head of Resource Mobilization to lead our fundraising efforts. In this vital senior leadership role, you will direct the resource mobilization team, formulate comprehensive funding strategies, and forge impactful partnerships with government officials, international organizations, and donors to support sustainable development initiatives across Africa.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the formulation and implementation of the foundation's comprehensive funding strategy to meet financial targets.
- Conduct donor mapping, collect donor intelligence, and maintain robust performance trackers.
- Supervise the development of high-quality project proposals, concept papers, and budgets in collaboration with thematic technical teams.
- Engage with key donors, international organizations, and corporate partners to promote MMF priorities and secure funding opportunities.
- Facilitate project design workshops and establish rigorous internal review processes for all outgoing proposals.
- Analyze unsuccessful proposals to identify lessons learned and implement corrective strategies.
- Bachelor's degree in International Relations, Development Studies, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree is preferred.
- Proven extensive experience in resource mobilization, fundraising, and donor relations within the non-profit or development sector.
- Demonstrated success in securing substantial grants from international donors, foundations, and corporate partners.
- Exceptional leadership skills with a proven track record of managing and mentoring high-performing teams.
