About the Role
The Churchgate Group, one of Nigeria's leading conglomerates, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Security Team Lead for the prestigious World Trade Center (WTC) in Abuja. In this vital role, you will oversee daily physical security operations, supervise shift personnel, and ensure the safety and security of our high-profile complex, its assets, tenants, visitors, and dignitaries. We are looking for a professional who combines strong operational leadership with strategic threat assessment to maintain a secure and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise, mentor, and deploy shift security personnel, access control officers, and third-party guards across all perimeter zones.
- Conduct daily shift briefings, guard inspections, roll calls, and debriefings to maintain strict adherence to standard operating procedures.
- Monitor surveillance operations, access control systems, visitor management logs, and fire or safety alarm panels.
- Act as the primary first responder and incident commander for security breaches, medical emergencies, fires, and civil disturbances.
- Organize continuous training programs focusing on physical security, emergency drills, and conflict de-escalation.
- Audit and enforce safety, health, environmental, and security policy compliance across the facility.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma in Criminology, Security Studies, Law, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Certified Protection Officer (CPO) certification or equivalent professional security management credential.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive security experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity within high-grade commercial real estate or critical infrastructure.
- Prior service in the Nigerian Armed Forces, Nigerian Police Force, or DSS is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in modern security technologies, including digital surveillance, automated access control, and incident management software.
