About the Role
Unified Payment Services Limited (UP), Nigeria’s premier payments and financial technology company founded in 1997, is seeking a dynamic and visionary Head, PTSA Operations. In this pivotal role, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for our Payment Terminal Service Aggregator unit, ensuring seamless POS terminal management, transaction processing, dispute resolution, settlements, and exceptional service delivery in alignment with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and coordinate all PTSA operations, including POS deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and support to ensure minimal downtime and high uptime.
- Manage the end-to-end settlement cycle, reconciliations, and interbank transfers, collaborating closely with Finance and IT teams.
- Direct dispute resolution, chargeback management, and compliance with CBN regulations and NIBSS operational standards.
- Build and manage relationships with terminal providers, acquirers, and service vendors while optimizing hardware and software performance.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the PTSA Operations team to foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Prepare periodic executive reports on transaction volumes, terminal performance, and operational incidents.
- First Degree in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in payment systems, POS operations, or electronic banking, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Deep expertise in CBN PTSA Guidelines, NIBSS processes, and Nigerian payment industry regulations.
- Proven track-record in managing large-scale transaction volumes, reconciliations, and dispute resolution workflows.
