About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and visionary professional to join our dynamic financial institution as Head, Operations. In this strategic leadership role, you will oversee the Bank's day-to-day operational activities, ensuring flawless service delivery, robust internal controls, effective operational risk management, and strict regulatory compliance across all branches and business units.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute comprehensive operational strategies to enhance overall efficiency, automation, and customer service delivery.
- Oversee core banking functions, including branch operations, account management, and seamless transaction processing.
- Enforce compliance with internal policies, procedures, and statutory regulatory requirements.
- Strengthen internal control frameworks and ensure rapid resolution of audit findings and operational exceptions.
- Identify, monitor, and mitigate operational risks through proactive measurement and control implementation.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to elevate customer experience and support sustainable business growth.
- Prepare and present accurate operational performance metrics to Executive Management.
- Manage key relationships with external regulators, vendors, and strategic stakeholders.
- Mentor, lead, and develop a high-performing Operations team to achieve peak productivity.
- Bachelor's degree in Banking, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Master's degree or relevant professional certifications will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 7 years of cognate experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or managerial operations role within a Nigerian commercial bank, microfinance bank, or financial institution.
- Demonstrated expertise in branch operations, process re-engineering, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
