About the Role
RS Hunter Limited is recruiting on behalf of our esteemed client for a dynamic and results-driven Head of Watches to drive the national strategy and commercial success of the watches category across Nigeria. In this executive leadership role, you will take full ownership of category performance, profitability, merchandising, and strategic brand expansion within the luxury retail market.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute comprehensive national category strategies to drive revenue and commercial growth.
- Lead, mentor, and manage senior commercial leadership, including the National Sales Manager and Head of Sales.
- Establish ambitious sales targets, monitor performance metrics, and optimize inventory productivity and sell-through rates.
- Forge and nurture strong strategic relationships with international brand principals, key stakeholders, and high-net-worth individuals (HNWI/VIC).
- Spearheaded major product launches, marketing activations, and innovative customer acquisition and retention strategies.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify new business opportunities and present strategic insights to senior management.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of demonstrable experience in luxury watches, fine jewellery, or premium retail management.
- Proven track record in category management, P&L ownership, and driving commercial success.
- Exceptional leadership skills with documented success in managing senior sales teams.
- Extensive network and established relationships within the luxury retail ecosystem in Nigeria or West Africa.
