About the Role
Dangote Group, Africa's leading diversified business conglomerate, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Head of Store for our granite mines operation in Nigeria. In this critical role, you will oversee end-to-end inventory operations, guarantee strict compliance with controls and audits, and leverage your advanced SAP expertise to drive efficiency and support our ambitious quarry production targets.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee overall inventory operations, ensuring zero stockouts for key consumables and spares critical to quarry production.
- Guarantee a 30-day cover of consumables to sustain the quarry's 8,000MT daily production target.
- Supervise cycle counts and monthly stock counts, enforcing strict inventory controls to maintain at least 98% accuracy.
- Ensure immediate posting of Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs), production figures, and consumable issuances in SAP within 24 hours.
- Coordinate with internal and external audit teams to ensure 100% compliance and implement corrective actions for any discrepancies.
- Manage daily diesel, explosives, and lubricants consumption reports while ensuring timely calibration of flow meters and weighbridges.
- Identify high-cost drivers quarterly and recommend strategies to reduce operational costs by at least 5% year-over-year.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in store management and inventory control within a heavy-duty, manufacturing, or mining environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in SAP systems for inventory and procurement processes.
- Strong understanding of audit compliance, supply chain principles, and cross-functional collaboration.
