About the Role
Excel and Grace Consulting, a leading financial and business consulting firm established in 2000, is seeking an experienced Head of Solar Engineering to drive our renewable energy division. You will lead our solar engineering operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solar photovoltaic systems that meet international standards while maintaining exceptional safety and customer satisfaction standards.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of solar engineers, technicians, and installation specialists
- Design, review, and approve technical solar system proposals and engineering solutions
- Oversee the complete project lifecycle from site feasibility studies through installation and commissioning
- Ensure all solar PV installations meet technical specifications and industry standards
- Manage preventive and corrective maintenance operations and troubleshoot complex technical issues
- Prepare comprehensive project plans, budgets, and timelines aligned with company objectives
- Maintain detailed technical documentation, reports, and system performance records
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop client-focused solar solutions
- Provide technical guidance during client presentations and post-project training
- Monitor project execution to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery
- Research emerging solar technologies and recommend product improvements to management
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and technical vendors
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and company procedures across all operations
- Bachelor's degree in Solar Engineering, Renewable Energy, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 8+ years of professional experience in solar engineering or renewable energy projects
- Proven leadership experience managing technical teams
- Strong knowledge of solar PV system design, installation, and commissioning
- Excellent project management and budgeting skills
- Outstanding communication and client relationship abilities
