About the Role
BethâNeills Playhouse & Preschool, a premier faith-based early childhood education center in Calabar, Cross River State, is seeking an experienced and visionary Head of School to lead our preschool and primary programs. Under the strategic direction of CEO Lucy O'Neill, you will champion educational excellence and maintain our commitment to creating a nurturing environment where every child thrives at their own pace.
Key Responsibilities- Provide academic and administrative leadership for preschool and primary education programs
- Develop and implement curriculum aligned with Nigerian educational standards and faith-based values
- Oversee staff recruitment, training, performance management, and professional development
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain quality assurance standards
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that encourages play-based learning
- Manage school operations, budgeting, and resource allocation effectively
- Build strong relationships with parents, guardians, and the local community
- Monitor student progress and implement evidence-based interventions for optimal development
- Bachelor's degree in Education (B.Sc, B.Ed) or National Certificate in Education (NCE)
- TRCN registration highly desirable
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in educational leadership or early childhood education
- Strong understanding of Nigerian curriculum and early childhood development
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated commitment to faith-based education and child-centered pedagogy
