About the Role

Uncle Stan's Foods is a premier small chops company renowned for its unique finger food taste all over Lagos. We are currently looking for a strategic and results-driven Head of People & Performance to join our growing team. In this pivotal role, you will lead our people strategy, ensuring we attract, develop, retain, and motivate exceptional talent while fostering a vibrant, high-performance work culture that supports our operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute comprehensive talent acquisition and workforce planning strategies to attract top-tier talent and reduce hiring turnaround time.
  • Oversee people operations, ensuring strict compliance with Nigerian labour laws, accurate payroll inputs, and seamless employee lifecycle administration.
  • Design and manage the company-wide performance management framework, including KPIs, performance scorecards, and targeted improvement plans.
  • Identify training needs, coordinate learning and development initiatives, and foster a culture of continuous learning across all departments.
  • Drive employee relations, engagement initiatives, and professional grievance resolution to maintain a positive and productive workplace.
  • Lead organizational development projects, career progression frameworks, and succession planning to support business expansion.
  • Design competitive rewards, recognition programmes, and compensation reviews that boost employee retention.
  • Develop, update, and enforce HR policies while mentoring and leading the internal People & Performance team.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
  • Master's degree or MBA is an added advantage.
  • Professional HR certification (CIPM, SHRM, HRCI, or CIPD) is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Prior experience in the hospitality, retail, FMCG, or Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) industry is a distinct advantage.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic problem-solving skills.
