About the Role
Taptap Send is a fast-growing fintech company dedicated to serving immigrant communities by providing fast, secure, and affordable remittance services to Africa, Asia, and Latin America. We are currently looking for an experienced Head of Partnerships (Africa) to spearhead our expansion, build vital stakeholder relationships, and cement our market presence across the region.
Key Responsibilities- Own and nurture relationships with existing partners in Africa while proactively identifying and securing new strategic partnerships.
- Negotiate high-impact commercial deals and oversee the entire partnership lifecycle from initial meetings to successful go-live.
- Engage and collaborate with regulators and policymakers across the region to represent the Taptap Send brand with utmost professionalism.
- Track, analyze, and report key market metrics to optimize performance and share regional best practices with the Growth team.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Operations, Business Development, and Engineering teams to advocate for regional market needs.
- Over 10 years of professional experience in fast-paced, high-performing environments such as tech, fintech, financial services, or professional services.
- Proven track record in commercial deal-making and strategic partnership management within Africa.
- Demonstrated experience interacting successfully with African regulators and policymakers.
- Deep professional and cultural ties to the African market.
- Hands-on approach with a no-task-too-small mentality and strong attention to operational detail.
- Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Fluency in additional languages like French and prior fintech or payments experience are strong advantages.
