Don Quester Consulting, a leading Human Capital Development and Management Consulting organization, is recruiting a dynamic Head of Operations to join our Enugu facility. We specialize in bespoke interventions that improve individual effectiveness and organizational performance across Africa. This strategic leadership role offers the opportunity to transform manufacturing operations and drive sustainable business growth.
We are seeking a results-driven professional to lead and integrate all manufacturing operations, including Production, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Warehousing, Logistics, Facilities, and HSE. You will drive operational excellence, optimize productivity and costs, and ensure consistent delivery of quality products that exceed customer expectations while maintaining the highest safety and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities- Lead integrated manufacturing operations across Production, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, Warehousing, Logistics, HSE, and Facilities to achieve production, quality, safety, cost, and service objectives
- Drive production planning, inventory management, and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes aligned with business goals
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives, optimize asset utilization, reduce waste, and manage operational budgets
- Ensure equipment reliability, facility availability, and full compliance with quality, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
- Establish and monitor operational KPIs, dashboards, and governance processes with regular performance reviews
- Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Procurement, HR, and cross-functional teams for seamless execution
- Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams fostering accountability, collaboration, innovation, and operational excellence
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Chemistry, or related discipline
- MBA or Master's Degree (advantageous)
- Minimum 10 years' manufacturing experience with at least 5 years in senior operations leadership
- Proven experience managing multi-functional manufacturing operations
- FMCG, chemical, industrial, or manufacturing sector experience highly preferred
- Professional certifications (Lean Six Sigma, PMP, APICS/CSCP, NEBOSH) desirable
- Proficiency with ERP systems (Odoo, SAP) and Power BI
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving capabilities
