As Senior Safety Engineer, you will be pivotal in ensuring the safe design, operation, modification, and decommissioning of oil and gas facilities. This role encompasses process safety management, technological risk mitigation, major hazard prevention, and comprehensive regulatory compliance across facility lifecycles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver technical safety engineering support for facility design, operations, modifications, and decommissioning activities
  • Lead and facilitate critical process safety studies including HAZID, HAZOP, BowTie Analysis, HAZAN, and Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA)
  • Conduct Safety Integrity Level (SIL) assessments and fire/explosion consequence modelling using PHAST software
  • Review comprehensive engineering documentation including P&IDs, ESD Logic, Fire & Gas systems, and hazardous area classifications
  • Support Management of Change (MOC) and Request for Modification (RFM) assessments
  • Develop and monitor barrier management programs for Major Accident Hazard prevention
  • Lead Safety and Environmental Critical Element (SECE) identification workshops
  • Develop, review, and maintain Operational Safety Cases compliant with NUPRC requirements
  • Deliver process safety training and awareness programs across operational assets

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or related Engineering discipline
  • Minimum 12 years' Oil & Gas industry experience with 7+ years as Process Safety, Technical Safety, or Loss Prevention Engineer
  • Proven expertise in HAZOP, HAZID, QRA, SIL Assessment, and fire/explosion risk analysis
  • Strong knowledge of NUPRC regulatory compliance, barrier management, and process safety management
  • Proficiency with PHAST, PIPENET, and DETECT-3D software
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Master's Degree in Safety Engineering and TÜV Functional Safety Certification are advantageous
