About the Role
Prime Atlantic Limited, a premier wholly Nigerian-owned oil servicing company established in 2003, is seeking an expert Head of Mechanical - Rotating, Static, Lifting & Marine Equipment. In this pivotal role, you will lead the technical content of maintenance methods, oversee contractor performance, and ensure the highest standards of reliability and safety across our operations in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee technical maintenance methods, plans, spare parts coverage, and working procedures in accordance with company policy.
- Manage maintenance plans prepared by contractors, ensuring accurate data capture and analysis within SAP (UNISUP).
- Provide expert technical support for turbo-machinery, rotating, static, lifting, and marine equipment to prevent failures and optimize performance.
- Coordinate the mobilization, logistics, and supervision of external vendors and contractors, ensuring strict adherence to HSE standards.
- Contribute to budget preparation, cost control, and technical contract administration.
- Mentor and develop national engineering staff and act as Maintenance Operation Manager when required.
- University Engineering Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience as a Mechanical Engineer, with at least 5 years in the petrochemical or oil and gas industry.
- At least 5 years of experience in a supervisory operational position.
- In-depth knowledge of turbo-machineries, maintenance management systems (SAP), and condition monitoring techniques.
