About the Role
Amaiden Energy Nigeria Limited is a premier provider of integrated technical and support services to the Nigerian oil and gas industry. We are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Head of Laboratories to oversee clinical laboratory operations across our Port Harcourt and Lagos facilities. In this vital leadership role, you will ensure the delivery of safe, accurate, timely, and cost-effective diagnostic services while upholding the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, direct, and coordinate comprehensive laboratory operations across PHC and Lagos clinics.
- Supervise laboratory scientists and technicians, providing expert technical and administrative guidance.
- Ensure daily verification, calibration, and optimal functioning of all laboratory equipment.
- Oversee critical diagnostic testing, specializing in Microbiology and advanced pathology services.
- Validate and authorize laboratory test results prior to release to medical practitioners.
- Implement and monitor rigorous quality control, quality assurance, and laboratory safety programmes.
- Ensure strict compliance with WHO safety standards, NAFDAC requirements, and MLSCN regulations.
- Manage end-to-end procurement, inventory control, and storage of reagents, consumables, and materials.
- Maintain and update laboratory software systems including Biowin and Prolablis.
- Prepare detailed monthly and annual activity reports and liaise with external stakeholders.
- Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a relevant discipline.
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant laboratory experience, with at least 5 years in a senior management capacity.
- Current professional registration with the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).
- Proven expertise in laboratory quality management, budgeting, and procurement processes.
- Proficiency in laboratory management software such as Biowin, Prolablis, or SAP.
