About the Role
Coronation Merchant Bank is a leading emerging merchant banking franchise in Nigeria, committed to delivering innovative financial solutions through teamwork, integrity, and operational excellence. We are currently seeking a dynamic and visionary Head of Information Security to join our esteemed team in Lagos.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the bank’s comprehensive information security strategy, operations, and enterprise-wide security frameworks.
- Design, implement, and monitor robust security controls across all systems, networks, and data assets to mitigate internal and external threats.
- Manage end-to-end cybersecurity programs, oversee threat detection, coordinate incident response, and review security incidents promptly.
- Ensure strict compliance with Nigerian and international regulatory standards, industry best practices, and data privacy laws.
- Collaborate closely with senior leadership, technology teams, and business units to embed security into all business processes and product developments.
- Develop, update, and enforce information security policies, procedures, and bank-wide security awareness initiatives.
- Maintain and execute resilient business continuity planning and disaster recovery protocols for critical banking operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Advanced degree is an advantage).
- Minimum of progressive years of experience in information security, cybersecurity, and risk management within the financial services sector.
- Relevant professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor are mandatory.
- Deep understanding of data privacy principles, regulatory requirements, and banking compliance standards in Nigeria.
- Proven expertise in business continuity planning, threat detection, and incident response management.
