About the Role
Benin Medical Care is a world-class healthcare facility located in the heart of Benin City, along Adesuwa Grammar School Road. Since our commissioning on November 1, 2019, we have been committed to providing exceptional general and specialist medical services to individuals and families. We are currently seeking a visionary and experienced Head of ICT to manage our technological operations, infrastructure, systems, cybersecurity, and technical support services, ensuring seamless integration between technology and patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement the hospital's comprehensive ICT strategy, policies, and operational procedures.
- Manage core infrastructure including networks, servers, internet connectivity, hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
- Oversee the Hospital Management Information System to guarantee optimal performance, reliability, and uptime.
- Provide prompt and effective technical support across all hospital departments to resolve operational bottlenecks.
- Implement robust user access controls, data security protocols, automated backups, and disaster recovery plans.
- Safeguard the confidentiality and integrity of patient, staff, financial, and institutional records in compliance with data protection laws.
- Lead, supervise, and mentor the ICT team, fostering a culture of continuous professional development and high performance.
- Manage relationships with external ICT vendors, software licenses, subscriptions, and maintenance service agreements.
- Maintain physical security technologies including CCTV networks, biometric attendance, and access-control systems.
- Advise executive management on emerging technology trends, IT risks, capital investments, and infrastructure improvements.
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant ICT experience, with at least 2 years serving in a supervisory or management capacity.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience working within a hospital or healthcare technology environment is a distinct advantage.
- Possession of industry-recognized professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, ITIL, CompTIA, Microsoft Certified, or cybersecurity credentials.
