About the Role

Excellence Community Education Welfare Scheme Ltd/Gte (ECEWS) is a leading indigenous non-profit organization dedicated to improving access to qualitative healthcare, education, and economic strengthening services across Nigeria. We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced professional to join our dynamic team as the Senior Technical Officer - Strategic Information. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the highest standards of data integrity and strategic information management to drive impactful public health outcomes under our USAID/CDC-supported programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide advanced technical support for data quality assurance and management across all supported states.
  • Conduct routine data quality assessments, audits, and supportive supervision at both facility and state levels.
  • Support the design, development, and implementation of comprehensive data quality improvement plans.
  • Train, mentor, and build the capacity of facility and state-level staff on national data quality standards and best practices.
  • Deliver effectively against approved milestone plans and quarterly performance targets, integrating HIV, TB, malaria, and MNCH services.
  • Support corrective action planning and follow-up for any identified data quality gaps or reporting discrepancies.
Qualifications
  • Possession of a first degree in Statistics, Public Health, Demography, or a related quantitative or health-related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in data quality assurance, monitoring, and evaluation (M&E) within the health sector.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience working on USG-funded public health or HIV/AIDS projects is highly preferred.
  • Strong, practical knowledge of data quality assessment methodologies, DHIS2, and health management information systems.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical capabilities, and proven capacity-building and training skills.
