About the Role
Excellence Community Education Welfare Scheme Ltd/Gte (ECEWS) is a leading indigenous non-profit organization dedicated to improving access to qualitative healthcare, education, and economic strengthening services across Nigeria. We are currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Technical Officer - Strategic Information for our health programs. In this role, you will play a vital part in enhancing data integrity and supporting comprehensive HIV, TB, malaria, and MNCH service integration under donor-funded initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Support comprehensive data quality assurance activities at the state level to ensure accurate reporting.
- Conduct routine data quality checks at both health facility and state levels.
- Support the implementation of effective data quality improvement action plans.
- Provide basic training and mentorship to facility staff on established data quality standards.
- Assist in the comprehensive documentation of data quality assessment findings.
- Deliver against approved milestone plans and quarterly performance targets while supporting the progressive transfer of functions to Government of Nigeria ownership.
- Possession of a first degree in Statistics, Public Health, Demography, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of proven experience in data quality assurance, monitoring and evaluation (M&E).
- Prior working experience on donor-funded health or HIV/AIDS projects is highly preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of data quality assessment processes and health management information systems.
