About the Role

Sigma Consult, a premier business advisory firm focused on the Nigerian healthcare and business sectors, is seeking a commercially astute Head of Commercial on behalf of a rapidly growing FinTech and financial services client. In this executive leadership role, you will spearhead the organization's commercial strategy, accelerate revenue growth, and strengthen its market positioning across Nigeria. Working closely with the CEO, you will identify high-value enterprise opportunities, forge strategic partnerships, and build scalable commercial structures that ensure long-term profitability and success in a dynamic financial technology landscape.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute comprehensive commercial strategies in alignment with organizational goals and growth targets.
  • Lead enterprise business acquisition, high-value client relationship management, and complex commercial negotiations.
  • Identify, secure, and manage strategic partnerships with financial institutions and tech ecosystem stakeholders.
  • Take full ownership of revenue targets, accurate forecasting, pricing optimization, and commercial performance metrics.
  • Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing commercial team fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and Operations teams to drive effective go-to-market initiatives.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Marketing, or a related discipline; an MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is a distinct advantage.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in commercial leadership, enterprise sales, business development, or strategic partnerships within FinTech or high-growth tech sectors.
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving aggressive revenue targets, closing major B2B enterprise deals, and scaling commercial functions.
  • Expertise in utilizing CRM tools like HubSpot or Salesforce, alongside strong financial acumen and market intelligence.
  • Exceptional executive presence, negotiation skills, and the ability to engage effectively with C-suite stakeholders and industry leaders.
