About the Role

Alaro City, a premier mixed-income, city-scale development featuring commercial, industrial, residential, and recreational spaces, is expanding its utilities division. We are looking for a visionary and results-driven Head of City Utilities to lead the development, operations, and commercial success of our comprehensive infrastructure networks, including power, water, gas, telecom, and ICT.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and execute the strategic business model for city-scale utilities, ensuring financial sustainability and operational excellence.
  • Oversee all aspects of utility management, including budgeting, planning, policy development, operations, and maintenance.
  • Lead and coordinate key engineering activities, ensuring seamless integration with procurement, construction, and commissioning teams.
  • Ensure strict adherence to regulatory requirements, compliance standards, and internal quality benchmarks.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships with government agencies, regulatory bodies, consultants, and customers.
  • Prepare comprehensive weekly, monthly, and periodic status reports for executive leadership.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 15 years of hands-on engineering and utility infrastructure experience, covering electricity generation, water treatment, gas utilities, and sewage treatment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the construction, operation, and maintenance of large-scale infrastructure.
  • Strong background in the commercial aspects of utility sales, business analysis, and budget management.
  • Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and stakeholder negotiation skills.
