About the Role
Excel and Grace Consulting is a premier financial and business consulting firm in Nigeria, providing bespoke advisory services to individuals and organizations. We are currently looking for a strategic and detail-oriented Head of Accounts to lead our financial department and manage the financial operations of the Group and its subsidiaries.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure accurate and timely financial records, management accounts, and financial reports across the Group.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, and monitor actual performance against approved budgets.
- Manage cash flow, receivables, revenue reconciliation, and financial controls to protect company funds and minimise financial leakages.
- Establish and maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with tax, statutory, audit, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide finance support and monitor the financial performance, controls, and reporting of all subsidiaries.
- Monitor income, expenses, payments, and other financial transactions to ensure proper accountability.
- Prepare regular financial reports and provide management with financial information to support decision-making.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure audit findings are properly addressed.
- Ensure proper management of accounts payable and receivable and timely reconciliation of accounts.
- Supervise the Accounts and Finance team and ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent is a strong advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting or finance experience, with proven experience in a supervisory or management role.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, taxation, and financial controls.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience managing finances across multiple business units or subsidiaries is an advantage.
