About the Role

Headquartered in bustling Lagos, Nigeria, we are expanding our internal audit team and looking for a dedicated IT Audit Specialist to drive transparency, robust risk management, and strong corporate governance across our expansive enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the team lead in planning and executing IT ICOFR testing efficiently and effectively throughout the year.
- Analyse risks associated with IT processes, assess the effectiveness of internal control systems, and update the Risk and Control matrix.
- Support the development of audit programmes for continuous monitoring and evaluation of IT ICFR.
- Conduct testing of information technology infrastructure and data controls, perform integrity checks, and assess audit trails.
- Coordinate with external auditors for company account certifications and maintain a control failure dashboard for swift remediation.
- Implement data analysis tools to improve audit efficiency, and evaluate information security and data protection controls.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is an added advantage.
- Mandatory possession of professional certifications such as CISA, MCSE, CISSP, CFE, or CITP.
- Minimum of 5 to 10 years of robust IT Audit work experience, preferably across manufacturing, energy, or utility sectors.
- Demonstrable expertise in implementing Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR) and testing COBIT, GITC, and SAP Automated Controls.
- Strong understanding of networking systems, computer databases, accounting principles, and internal control frameworks like COSO and COBIT.
