About the Role
Dragnet Solutions is a dynamic Information Technology company specialising in innovative people screening and recruitment solutions. Since 2007, we have pioneered objective recruitment and application management processes to meet international standards. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head, Medical Records to join our team in Kaduna.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential patient health records in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Manage end-to-end records workflows including patient registration, retrieval, physical and digital filing, coding, and document retention.
- Ensure strict confidentiality and data protection in compliance with the Nigeria Data Protection Act and internal institutional policies.
- Support seamless clinical care, medical billing, managed-care processes, and statutory reporting through the timely provision of health data.
- Lead, supervise, mentor, and appraise records department staff while establishing rigorous operational standards.
- Contribute proactively to internal data quality audits, compliance reviews, and healthcare service improvement initiatives.
- Minimum of 8 years of post-registration experience in health information and records management, including significant supervisory or leadership experience.
- A recognized qualification in Health Information Management or Health Records (e.g., BSc in Health Information Management, HND, or Diploma in Health Records).
- Successful completion of required professional internships, registration training, and NYSC, or a valid exemption certificate.
- Demonstrated expertise in health information systems, records retrieval, and clinical coding practices (such as ICD training).
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and effective communication abilities to collaborate with clinical and administrative colleagues.
