About the Role
Unified Payment Services Limited (UP®) is Nigeria's premier Payments and Financial Technology company, founded in 1997 by a consortium of leading Nigerian banks. Operating as a shared infrastructure for the banking community, we are dedicated to being the most preferred e-payment service provider in Africa. We are currently seeking a strategic and experienced Head, IT Audit to lead our information systems auditing functions and ensure robust internal controls across our technology landscape.
Key Responsibilities- Provide independent assurance to management on IT General Controls and ensure best assurance practices in planning and executing IS audit programs.
- Conduct audit reviews of Database Management Systems, enterprise network security, device configurations, systems patches, and log management.
- Evaluate Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes, project management implementation, and change management procedures.
- Review data encryption processes, key management lifecycles, and the physical and logical security of cardholder environments.
- Assess systems and general IT controls, preparing comprehensive audit reports that summarize significant control weaknesses and impact.
- Develop business-focused control recommendations and appropriate remediation plans while building strong relationships with audit clients.
- First Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CISA, CISM, or ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Auditor are strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in IT Auditing or a similar technical role within the financial technology or banking sector.
