About the Role
Agricare Std Plus Ltd is a premier agro-allied company and sole distributor of trusted agricultural brands, dedicated to empowering livestock farmers across Nigeria since 2006. We are currently seeking a dynamic and analytical Head, Internal Control / Audit to lead our financial governance, risk management, and audit operations. In this vital leadership position, you will ensure our business practices maintain the highest standards of integrity while supporting our continued nationwide growth.
Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, and maintain a robust internal control framework across all operational and financial departments.
- Conduct comprehensive periodic internal audits to evaluate governance processes, operational efficiency, and risk management.
- Oversee inventory controls, asset management, and regular financial reconciliations to prevent discrepancies.
- Lead thorough investigations into suspected fraud, financial irregularities, or policy violations.
- Prepare and deliver detailed audit reports to senior management and the Board Audit Committee while monitoring implementation of recommendations.
- Liaise seamlessly with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and key stakeholders to ensure full statutory compliance.
- Mentor, train, and supervise internal control and audit team members to foster a culture of accountability.
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline.
- Mandatory professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, ICAN, CPA, or CIA.
- Minimum of 8 to 12 years of relevant experience in accounting, auditing, or internal control, with at least 3 to 5 years in a senior leadership capacity.
