About the Role
We are seeking a strategic and visionary Head of Human Resources to lead our people and culture agenda at a leading financial institution in Nigeria. In this executive role, you will shape the future of our workforce, champion employee engagement, and align our human capital strategy with our overarching business goals.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement comprehensive HR strategies aligned with the Bank's business objectives and growth trajectory.
- Lead end-to-end talent acquisition, recruitment, workforce planning, and seamless onboarding initiatives.
- Oversee performance management, employee engagement, learning, and structured career development programs.
- Design and implement effective HR policies, standard operating procedures, and comprehensive employee welfare programs.
- Manage complex employee relations and ensure strict compliance with Nigerian labour laws and regulatory frameworks.
- Drive robust succession planning, talent management, and leadership development across all departments.
- Oversee compensation, benefits administration, payroll coordination, and staff welfare initiatives.
- Promote a positive, high-performance, ethical, and inclusive organizational culture.
- Provide expert HR insights and strategic recommendations to Executive Management on people-related matters.
- Lead, supervise, coach, and develop a high-performing internal HR team.
- Bachelor degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
- Master degree or relevant professional certifications such as CIPM or SHRM are strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 7 to 10 years of progressive HR experience, with significant tenure in a senior or managerial role.
- Prior working experience in banking, microfinance, fintech, or other regulated financial institutions in Nigeria.
- Proven expertise in talent management, organizational development, employee relations, and policy implementation.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and conflict-resolution competencies.
