About the Role
Standard Chartered Bank is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Head, Financial, Regulatory & Subsidiary Reporting to join our esteemed finance team in Nigeria. In this pivotal leadership role, you will assume ownership of the end-to-end financial and regulatory reporting process, ensuring strict adherence to statutory obligations, IFRS standards, and internal policies while driving robust financial controls and process automation.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the preparation and timely delivery of the Bank's statutory financial statements in compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the accurate and timely submission of regulatory returns to the CBN, NDIC, SEC, and other relevant regulatory bodies.
- Coordinate annual external audits, manage regulatory examinations, and serve as the primary liaison for financial and regulatory reporting matters.
- Monitor regulatory capital adequacy, prudential returns, and market risk requirements, escalating emerging issues to senior management.
- Drive the enhancement, automation, and standardization of reporting processes to improve data quality, efficiency, and governance.
- Manage, mentor, and develop talent within the finance team, fostering an inclusive culture of high performance and accountability.
- Mandatory professional qualification as a Chartered Accountant.
- Over 8 years of extensive experience in a senior financial management role within a bank or large commercial organization.
- Thorough knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, banking legislation, taxation, and exchange control regulations.
