About the Role
Whassan Nigeria Limited (WENL) and its affiliate Adasa Catering Services Ltd have been trusted leaders in catering and facilities management since 1982. We are currently looking for a dynamic and skilled Head Chef to oversee our kitchen operations, maintain the highest standards of food quality and hygiene, and lead our culinary team to deliver exceptional dining experiences.
Key Responsibilities- Take complete charge of daily kitchen operations, food preparation, and service delivery.
- Design and implement diverse, high-quality menus spanning national, continental, and pastry cuisines.
- Strongly supervise, train, and mentor cooks, kitchen helpers, and subordinate kitchen staff.
- Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards across all food handling areas.
- Manage inventory levels, monitor food costs, and minimize kitchen waste efficiently.
- Collaborate with management to plan special events, corporate catering, and customized menus.
- Possession of a Bachelor's Degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of professional culinary experience in a supervisory or Head Chef role.
- Vast knowledge and proven expertise in national dishes, continental cuisine, and professional pastry making.
- Exceptional leadership skills with a proven track record of managing kitchen staff effectively.
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations, kitchen hygiene, and inventory management.
