About the Role
NASD OTC is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Head, Business Development & Market Development to drive revenue growth and enhance market activity across our platform. In this senior commercial role, you will originate issuers, securities, and strategic distribution relationships, with a primary focus on expanding the Commercial Paper market, increasing issuer participation, and building sustainable secondary-market liquidity in Nigeria's capital markets.
Key Responsibilities- Build and manage a robust pipeline of prospective issuers across Commercial Paper, private-market securities, and other NASD financial products.
- Establish senior-level relationships with CEOs, CFOs, corporate treasurers, and issuing houses to originate successful transactions.
- Lead the commercial development of the secondary market for Commercial Paper by collaborating with dealers, brokers, and market makers.
- Develop innovative distribution partnerships and fintech integrations to broaden investor access to NASD securities.
- Oversee prospective transactions commercially from initial contact through onboarding and post-transaction management.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, Compliance, Operations, and Technology to resolve bottlenecks and ensure timely transaction closure.
- Achieve and exceed agreed annual revenue, transaction-origination, and market-activity targets.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, or a related field; a Master's degree or MBA is strongly preferred.
- 10 to 15+ years of extensive capital-markets experience within investment banking, securities brokerage, issuing houses, or financial market infrastructure.
- Deep existing network and strong relationships with Nigerian corporates, institutional investors, and capital-market participants.
- Proven track record of personally originating, structuring, and closing high-value financial transactions.
- Comprehensive understanding of Commercial Paper, fixed income, equity markets, and corporate capital-raising processes.
