About the Role
Dragnet Solutions is a dynamic Information Technology and human resources consulting company dedicated to creating objective recruitment and application management processes. We are currently looking for a strategic and results-driven Head, Business Development & Managed Care to join our team in Port Harcourt. In this pivotal role, you will lead the hospital's managed-care function, serving as the key interface with Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs) and corporate retainership schemes to ensure exceptional enrollee service and robust financial performance.
Key Responsibilities- Direct the hospital's managed-care operations and cultivate strong strategic relationships with HMO and corporate retainership partners.
- Oversee enrollee verification, pre-authorization, seamless referrals, and the overall delivery of care within established scheme terms.
- Manage claims preparation, submission, reconciliation, and proactive follow-up to minimize rejections and revenue delays.
- Monitor service-level agreements (SLAs) closely and lead the swift resolution of operational disputes with scheme partners.
- Coordinate with internal clinical teams to ensure patient care remains evidence-based, cost-effective, and fully compliant with scheme rules.
- Supervise, mentor, coach, and develop managed-care, clinical support, and customer experience personnel.
- Track key managed-care performance metrics and revenue streams, reporting findings with actionable improvement recommendations.
- Champion a superior enrollee experience, rapid complaints resolution, and long-term client retention across the entire function.
- Possession of a relevant first degree in health sciences, nursing, public health, business administration, or a related discipline.
- Successful completion of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) or presentation of a valid exemption certificate.
- Minimum of 8 years of robust, demonstrable experience in managed care, HMO liaison, or healthcare administration, including a proven track record in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
- Exceptional expertise in claims, authorization processes, and revenue-cycle management within the healthcare sector.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to bridge clinical requirements and commercial objectives effectively.
