We are currently looking for a strategic and results-driven Head, Business Development & Managed Care to join our team in Benin. In this pivotal role, you will lead our managed-care functions, bridge the gap between clinical quality and commercial viability, and oversee our vital relationships with HMOs and retainership partners to ensure exceptional service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct the hospital's managed-care operations and strategically manage relationships with HMO and retainership partners.
  • Oversee enrolee verification, pre-authorisation, referrals, and care management within scheme terms.
  • Manage claims preparation, submission, reconciliation, and follow-up to minimize rejections and delays.
  • Monitor service-level agreements and lead the resolution of disputes with scheme partners.
  • Coordinate with clinical teams to ensure care delivery remains evidence-based, cost-effective, and compliant with scheme rules.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop managed-care, clinical support, and customer experience staff.
  • Track managed-care performance and revenue, delivering actionable reports with improvement recommendations.
  • Champion enrolee experience, prompt complaints resolution, and client retention across the entire function.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in managed care, HMO liaison, or healthcare administration, including proven supervisory experience.
  • A relevant first degree in health sciences, nursing, public health, business administration, or a related discipline.
  • Mandatory completion of NYSC or possession of a valid exemption certificate.
  • Strong working knowledge of managed-care, HMO, and retainership processes with expertise in revenue-cycle management.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
