About the Role

Dragnet Solutions is a dynamic Information Technology company specializing in the design, development, and implementation of innovative people screening and recruitment solutions in Nigeria. We are currently seeking a strategic and results-driven Head, Business Development & Managed Care to lead our healthcare management functions, optimize HMO and retainership partnerships, and ensure seamless delivery of quality care combined with robust commercial sustainability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct comprehensive managed-care operations and cultivate strong, profitable relationships with HMO and corporate retainership partners.
  • Oversee enrolee verification, pre-authorisation processes, patient referrals, and ensure care management strictly adheres to established scheme terms.
  • Manage claims preparation, submission, reconciliation, and rigorous follow-up to minimize claim rejections and payment delays.
  • Monitor service-level agreements actively and lead the prompt resolution of disputes with healthcare scheme partners.
  • Coordinate seamlessly with clinical teams to guarantee that patient care remains evidence-based, cost-effective, and fully compliant with scheme rules.
  • Supervise, coach, and professionally develop managed-care, clinical support, and customer experience personnel.
  • Track managed-care performance metrics and revenue streams, presenting detailed reports and actionable improvement recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Champion enrolee satisfaction, efficient complaints resolution, and high retention rates across the entire function.

Qualifications
  • A relevant first degree in Health Sciences, Nursing, Public Health, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Mandatory completion of NYSC or possession of a valid exemption certificate.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience in managed care, HMO liaison, or healthcare administration, including demonstrable supervisory experience.
  • Strong, practical knowledge of managed-care, HMO, and retainership operational processes.
  • Advanced understanding of claims processing, medical authorisation, and comprehensive revenue-cycle management.
  • Demonstrated ability to align complex clinical requirements with commercial business goals.
  • Superior communication, negotiation, analytical, and team-leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in utilizing managed-care systems, claims software, and generating performance analytics reports.
  • Prior experience in a multi-specialty hospital, corporate hospital network, or HMO-facing health system is considered a strong advantage.
