About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Head, Business Development (Asset Management) to join our client, a leading financial technology and asset management firm based in Lagos, Nigeria. In this strategic leadership role, you will be instrumental in scaling our business by aggressively driving Assets Under Management (AUM) growth, originating high-value deals, and expanding our footprint across both retail and institutional client segments.
Key Responsibilities- Mobilise liabilities and consistently grow Assets Under Management (AUM) across diverse investor segments.
- Acquire, onboard, and strategically manage robust relationships with high-net-worth individuals, institutional clients, and consultants.
- Build, nurture, and maintain a high-value sales pipeline to ensure sustained revenue generation.
- Drive upselling and cross-selling initiatives across the firm's comprehensive suite of investment products.
- Prepare comprehensive sales performance reports, market trend analyses, and competitor intelligence briefs for executive management.
- Collaborate with leadership to execute strategic initiatives that strengthen the company's competitive positioning in the Nigerian financial market.
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline from an accredited university.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience within the financial services sector, with a proven track record in Investment or Wealth Management.
- Demonstrated personal success in originating, pitching, and closing complex sales and relationship opportunities.
- Existing, active relationships with local or offshore institutional mandates will serve as a distinct advantage.
