About the Role
Peridot Forte Solutions Consulting is seeking a skilled and experienced Hardware Engineer for our client in the dynamic Information Technology Services industry. In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing critical IT infrastructure while delivering top-tier technical support and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction across various locations in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair desktops, laptops, servers, printers, copiers, and related hardware components, including managing warranty claims and manufacturer parts replacements.
- Install and configure computer hardware, operating systems, firmware, servers, storage devices, RAID systems, and network printing solutions.
- Monitor equipment health, perform scheduled preventive maintenance, track consumable usage, and support server backups and data restoration tasks.
- Respond promptly to technical support tickets, resolve faults within established service timelines, and escalate complex issues when necessary.
- Maintain precise service reports, asset registers, repair logs, and spare-parts inventory while ensuring compliance with data security and safe electronic waste disposal procedures.
- Travel to client sites as required to deliver professional on-site maintenance, repair, and technical advisory services.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline.
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in computer hardware support, enterprise IT environments, or managed services.
- Solid expertise in server configurations, RAID systems, firmware updates, and hardware diagnostic tools.
- Relevant professional certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Server+, or OEM credentials from Dell, HPE, Lenovo, or Canon are strongly preferred.
- Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills with the ability to work independently and travel to client locations.
