About the Role
Unified Payment Services Limited (UP), Nigeria's premier financial technology company founded in 1997, is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Implementation Engineer to join our innovative team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in analyzing user requirements, executing technical implementations, and ensuring the seamless integration of our cutting-edge payment solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust e-commerce and POS platforms that empower the African financial ecosystem while maintaining optimal system performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze new user and solution requirements to develop and implement scalable technical solutions within scope, time, and budget.
- Lead end-to-end testing, validation, and deployment of payment gateway and PTSA solutions for merchant integration.
- Manage e-commerce platforms, including 3DS servers, EMVCo card authentication, online marketplaces, and KYC verification platforms.
- Provide second-level technical support for POS applications, monitor terminal performance, and troubleshoot service issues.
- Track system downtimes and drive continuous improvement initiatives to maintain 99.9% service availability.
- Prepare comprehensive daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports through detailed data analysis.
- Supervise the operation, implementation, and maintenance of production platforms in compliance with industry standards.
- Mentor and guide junior team members to help them achieve their full professional potential.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in software development, system integration, or application support.
- Strong understanding of key technical concepts in IT, electronic payments, and digital services.
- Programming knowledge and experience will be an added advantage.
