About the Role

Assets Microfinance Bank is expanding its footprint and looking for a dynamic Growth and Partnerships Manager to champion our mission of value-based banking for all Nigerians. In this strategic role, you will lead the expansion of our corporate client base, driving the adoption of SME loans, salary-backed loans, asset finance, and digital banking products across Nigeria's financial landscape.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, initiate, and secure high-value partnerships with corporate organisations, trade associations, cooperatives, and institutional bodies to grow partnership models to annual revenues over ₦1 billion.
  • Drive B2B sales of core microfinance products, developing tailored financial solutions and product packages for diverse corporate segments.
  • Act as the primary liaison between Assets MFB and strategic partners, ensuring exceptional service delivery and long-term relationship management.
  • Conduct robust market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks within the Nigerian SME and financial sector.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Credit, Risk, Operations, and Marketing teams to guarantee seamless onboarding, regulatory compliance, and impactful joint campaigns.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on partnership performance, sales achievements, pipeline progress, and portfolio health.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Finance, or a related field; an MBA is an added advantage.
  • 7 to 10 years of proven experience in business development, corporate sales, or partnerships, including at least 3 years in a managerial capacity within a bank, microfinance institution, or fintech.
  • Demonstrated track record of securing and scaling B2B partnerships and consistently meeting aggressive revenue targets.
  • Deep knowledge of microfinance products, CBN regulations, and the Nigerian SME sector, supported by a strong existing network of Lagos-based corporates and cooperatives.
  • Exceptional negotiation, proposal development, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
