About the Role
African Natural Resources & Mines Limited (ANRML) was incorporated in 2012 as part of African Industries Group’s backward integration strategy for steel production. Commencing with mining leases in Kaduna State, ANRML has expanded exploration across over 15 sites nationwide. We are currently seeking an experienced and safety-conscious Grove Crane Operator to join our expanding operations and ensure the efficient movement of heavy materials and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Operate Grove mobile cranes safely and efficiently for lifting, positioning, and loading heavy materials.
- Conduct thorough pre-start inspections of hydraulic systems, wire ropes, brakes, and safety devices.
- Verify crane capacities, load charts, and operating radii in strict accordance with approved lifting plans.
- Coordinate seamlessly with riggers, signalmen, and site supervisors using standard communication protocols.
- Maintain comprehensive crane operating logs, inspection records, and daily activity reports.
- Comply strictly with company HSE policies, statutory requirements, and site safety guidelines.
- Minimum of SSCE, OND, HND, or a relevant technical qualification.
- Valid Grove or mobile crane operator certification and competency licence.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience operating Grove or similar mobile cranes.
- Prior experience in mining, construction, or heavy industrial environments is strongly preferred.
- Valid medical fitness certificate and formal lifting/rigging training.
