About the Role

Mitiget is a leading provider of IT governance, business risk management, and compliance solutions, specialising in information security, cyber resilience, data protection, PCI DSS, ISO certifications, and physical security. We help organisations mitigate risks across internal systems, processes, and applications while improving their compliance posture. We are currently looking for a detail-oriented GRC & Compliance Associate to join our growing team on a part-time basis and contribute to our mission of delivering excellence in assurance services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the execution of GRC and compliance-related activities across assigned client projects.
  • Engage with clients and external stakeholders via calls and emails to obtain necessary information and documentation.
  • Review, verify, and validate submitted information and documents for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Follow up consistently on outstanding compliance requirements and maintain accurate engagement records and status updates.
  • Assist with compliance assessments, monitoring activities, data verification, and thorough documentation reviews.
  • Maintain and update compliance trackers, registers, and comprehensive project documentation.
  • Support the preparation of periodic compliance status reports and management updates for stakeholders.
  • Identify operational gaps, discrepancies, or outstanding requirements and escalate them appropriately.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure sensitive business and customer information is handled securely.
  • Support other GRC, risk management, compliance, and assurance activities as assigned by management.

Qualifications
  • B.Sc. or HND in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 1 to 3 years of professional experience in compliance, risk management, audit, banking operations, customer service, or KYC/AML.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with exceptional interpersonal abilities.
  • Keen attention to detail and strong documentation skills.
  • Ability to communicate confidently and professionally with external clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong follow-up, organisational, and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple concurrent tasks, and meet strict deadlines.
