About the Role
Rolan Foundation is a dynamic not-for-profit organization dedicated to making a realistic and lasting difference in the lives of vulnerable and less privileged persons across urban, remote, and desolate communities in Nigeria. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Grant Writer to join our Grants and Partnerships Unit. In this on-site role at our National Office, you will play a pivotal part in translating programmatic ideas into competitive, fundable proposals that align with our strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities- Research, identify, and map out new funding opportunities from institutional donors, foundations, and corporate partners.
- Develop and write clear, persuasive, and competitive grant proposals, concept notes, and case for support documents.
- Collaborate closely with program and finance teams to gather data, design project activities, and build accurate project budgets.
- Provide support on donor compliance, grant reporting, and tracking milestones to maintain strong funder relationships.
- Contribute strategically to the growth and sustainability of the organization through proactive fundraising initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, International Development, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Proven track record of successfully securing grants for non-profits and social enterprises in Nigeria.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of donor landscapes, international development frameworks, and non-profit compliance.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines, and translate complex ideas into engaging narratives.
