About the Role

We are currently inviting applications from suitably qualified and motivated candidates for the position of Graduate Assistant in the Department of Pharmacognosy and Traditional Medicines.
Key Responsibilities- Assist senior academic staff in the delivery of undergraduate lectures, practical laboratory sessions, and tutorials.
- Participate actively in cutting-edge research projects focusing on pharmacognosy, phytochemistry, and traditional medicines.
- Help in the preparation of teaching materials, course outlines, and academic resource documentation.
- Supervise undergraduate students during laboratory practicals and assist in grading assignments and continuous assessments.
- Maintain departmental laboratories and ensure safety compliance during research and teaching activities.
- Engage in continuous professional development through academic writing, conferences, and collaborative departmental projects.
- Minimum of a Master's Degree in Pharmacognosy, Traditional Medicine, or a closely related pharmaceutical science discipline from a recognized university.
- Demonstrated passion for academic research and teaching within the higher education sector.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex scientific concepts effectively.
- Proficiency in modern laboratory techniques and basic data analysis software.
- Evidence of scholarly publications or active interest in publishing research findings is an added advantage.
