About the Role
Elevation Professionals, a reputable management consultancy and publishing firm, is seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Government Teacher to join a client institution in Ipaja, Lagos. This role is ideal for an experienced educator who can effectively teach Government as a subject, inspire student engagement, and contribute to academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver well-structured Government lessons in line with the approved curriculum
- Develop lesson plans, schemes of work, and instructional materials that enhance students' understanding
- Assess, grade, and provide constructive feedback on students' assignments, tests, and examinations
- Maintain accurate records of students' academic performance and attendance
- Create an interactive and disciplined classroom environment conducive to learning
- Guide students in developing critical thinking and analytical skills relevant to Government studies
- Participate in departmental meetings, training sessions, and school-wide academic activities
- Collaborate with other teachers and school management to improve overall academic standards
- Prepare students adequately for internal and external examinations
- Bachelor's degree or NCE in Education, Political Science, Government, or a related field
- Relevant teaching experience, preferably at the secondary school level
- Strong knowledge of the Nigerian education curriculum for Government studies
- Excellent communication, presentation, and classroom management skills
- Ability to motivate and mentor students effectively
- Proficiency in the use of teaching aids and basic computer applications
- Must reside within Lagos, preferably close to Ipaja or its environs
